FAQ

Questions, answered honestly

How much do I get, and how often?

5 STELL per address every 45 minutes on the public path. Asking for more does not help — the amount is clamped server-side.

Why is my address “cooling down”?

Each address has a persisted 45-minute cooldown. The form counts down the exact retry in N seconds the node reported; the server clock is authoritative, not this page.

The drip says “pending” — where are my coins?

The faucet submits an ordinary mempool transfer, so the explorer shows it as pending until consensus includes it. Follow the transaction link from your receipt.

Do I need an account first?

No. Any 32-byte hex address works, including ones never seen on chain — an empty account simply reads as balance 0, nonce 0.

Is there a captcha?

When the operator sets Turnstile keys, yes: the widget appears above the button and the token travels as cf-turnstile-response. Without keys the node relies on the per-IP hourly budget.

Are test coins worth anything?

No. Test STELL has no value and must never be bought, sold, or sent to mainnet addresses.
